Shipping Prices & Methods
Pigment offers free shipping on most orders. These orders are usually sent via USPS Parcel Post, which usually takes between seven to ten days to arrive. Free shipping offers are only available within the continental US. Continental United States does not include Hawaii or Alaska. Sorry, wish we could.
Certain fragile and/or larger products that require special handling carry a flat rate shipping fee.
For expedited shipping the customer may choose between a $10 and $25 shipping option. For $10 orders will be sent via USPS Priority mail, which usually takes between two to three days to arrive. For $25 orders will be shipped via USPS Express Mail, which usually takes one day to arrive. Orders are processed and shipped within 24-48 hours, weekends and holidays excluded. Orders placed after 4 p.m. Pacific Standard Time will be processed the following business day. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with your tracking number. White Glove delivery service is available and may be requested by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org within 24 hours of placing the order. Please note White Glove Service in the subject bar of your email.
Pigment reserves the right to cancel any order due to issues involving merchandise availability. Also, shipping time may vary due to availability of merchandise, in which case you will be notified of any delay as soon as possible.
Required shipping costs on some items
In some instances, particularly for furniture or other large items, when common carriers are not a viable option freight shipping is required. Additional fees such as these are added to the item automatically and are visible at check out.
Special delivery // Freight Shipments
If you require a delivery appointment during weekday business hours or any other specific time, ‘inside’ delivery or delivery to a location other than a ground floor address, please include the information in the 'Customer Notes' field at checkout or contact us immediately after placing your order. Unless otherwise specified (as with White Glove Service), Pigment does not provide installation, assembly or physical delivery of furniture into residences or businesses. Installation, assembly or physical delivery of furniture into residences or businesses may be available through the shipping company. Any costs for installation, assembly or physical delivery of furniture into residences or businesses are the responsibility of the purchaser and not Pigment, unless otherwise specified on the product page.
Unless you have already arranged for ‘inside’ or 'white glove' delivery with our customer service, ALL shipments sent via Freight Carrier will be delivered via curbside delivery. Curbside delivery means that the delivery team will not bring the item into your home. As suggested above, if you need special delivery arrangements such as 'inside' or 'white glove' delivery please contact us within 24 hours of placing your order to arrange for these services. Pigment will not be responsible for any costs for additional delivery services.

As described in the return policies, it is very important that you inspect the package at the time of delivery. If the box has any damage, or if there is any reason for you to be concerned about damage, please write "PACKAGING DAMAGED/INSPECTION NEEDED" clearly on the delivery slip that you are asked to sign. Failure to note such damages or potential for damages with the shipper at the time of delivery will limit or completely prevent Pigment from processing a damage claim.
If there is damage to report please take photos of the packaging/product and send them to email@example.com within 48 hours. Failure to report damage promptly restricts and may completely prevent our ability to process your claim.
The holiday buying season and subsequent shipping spike can inundate carriers and make delays unavoidable. Pigment makes every effort to process and ship your purchase swiftly, but cannot be held responsible for delays in transit that are beyond our control. Shop early to ensure you get your item delivered on time!
Definition of Freight Delivery Options
Standard/Curbside: Delivery to address, outside residence.
Inside: Deliver packages beyond the residential threshold.
White Glove: Deliver inside residence and remove packing materials.
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Most merchandise may be returned for a full refund (minus shipping costs) within 10 days of delivery for items purchased through our website. Items purchased in store, may be returned for store credit only. Product must be unused and in original packaging. Returns must be pre-authorized by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org or (619) 501-6318.
Returns must be properly packed, original packaging is recommended, and sent at the customer's expense to Pigment, ATTN: Returns, 3801 30th Street, San Diego, CA 92104.
Please include the original packing slip with your return. It is recommended that you insure your package, as we are not responsible for items that are lost or damaged in the mail. Once we receive the package, we will credit the original form of payment within five business days. Your banking institution may take additional time to process and post the transaction to your account once they have received this information. Items that arrive to Pigment damaged in any way will not be refunded.
* Examples of non-returnable items at Pigment are sale items, furniture, rugs, custom made, and special order items. These items cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded. If you are unsure of whether or not an item is can be returned, please call us at (619)-501-6318 or feel free to email us at email@example.com.
To exchange an item, simply follow the return process and then place a new order. For inventory reasons, we do not currently offer straight exchanges.
Orders may only be canceled within 24 hours. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you wish to cancel your order. After 24 hours the order has been processed and may already be in route to you and can no longer be cancelled. Sale items are an exception and cannot be canceled after the order is placed.
Damages // Defects
Claims for damaged or defective items must be filed within 3 business days of delivery. Please inspect your items immediately upon delivery. Any damages to packaging or products must be noted with the shipper at the time of delivery in order for us to process a damage claim. Keep all damaged packaging materials including the box in which the shipment arrived along with all inside contents. If packaging materials are not kept we cannot process a damage claim with the carrier.

8.00% sales tax will be charged to orders billed within California.
Please note that Pigment strives to recycle as much as possible when shipping. This means that, when possible, orders arrive in a box that has been appropriated from a previous shipment and that packing materials such as bubble wrap, tissue, and popcorn have also been reused. We appreciate any effort that you too can make to reuse our shipping materials and/or recycle them.
