Australian designer Jodie Fried created Bholu with the idea that it's possible to create beautiful products that we love and live with while at the same time benefiting communities that need help the most. Bholu products are created by traditional artisans from rural and urban communities in India, ensuring that their skills earn them a fair wage. Each piece is individually hand embroidered or handwoven using ancient techniques, giving each product its own unique and original personality. As part of the Bholu Anganwadi Project, they've now built a total of 8 preschools in underprivileged communities in India in collaboration with Architects Without Frontiers Australia. All Bholu products possess bold design and playful color, and are sure to brighten up any room.
