Until the late 19th century, wool coasters were traditionally used for beer mugs in Bavarian taverns. To this day, Bavarians call coasters of all kinds "bierfilzl," meaning beer felt. Even now, centuries later, felt coasters are still functional, durable and guaranteed to protect your tabletop. Graf & Lantz has carried on this age-old tradition but updated the style with bold colors and a classic square shape.
